Several months ago, I met members of the barefoot lifestyle from around the world; we shared our experiences, advice, and knowledge from differing locations.
Watching and discussing the photos of people going about their daily lives, with the healthy decision of returning to the natural way of walking and running, piqued my creativity.
This year shall yield a collection of multicultural barefoot living, pointing out the diversity among a united mentality of a healthy body.
Chosen mediums: black and white charcoal, the feet (and their reflection, if any) will be in color pencil.
Each portrait will be titled the person's initials followed by their state or county and country.
Each photo reference will be provided by the person in the portrait, and/or will exist only after permission has been granted by the photographer for use and sale.
Individual portraits will be available for purchase and shipment, after the first live showing of the collection, location not yet determined.
A local print maker will be working with me, to make various prints available.
Thank you in advance, to all of you who are in support of this project, and in favor of promoting barefoot existence!

Please tell us a bit about yourself:
~ My name is Emily Reinhart, I am 30 years old from California and I work as an In-house IT
How long have you been creating art?
~ Since the day I could hold a pencil? …though, art that is sell-able, I would say, since 2008
Did you do a course/have formal training, or are you entirely self-taught?
~ I’ve had many class courses since my early teens, but very little did I learn from classes themselves; my methods are self-taught, or understood by observing finished great works, and studying the mediums, how they interact with certain materials, and the brush strokes, and the tools it would take to make them. I took on as many art classes as I could, so that I could have a forced devoted time set aside for art…otherwise, it wouldn’t happen, due to lack of space or time in those days.
